Brachtia minutiflora is a sympodial orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Colombia.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Grows to 12cm. Each new growth has numerous lance shaped oblong shaped leaves that grow to 0.7-10cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 1-5cm
Climate
Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 20mm to 94mm per day, heaviest in November and lightest in January. Temperature ranges from 12C to 19C, highest in August (13C to 19C) and lowest in September (12C to 18C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
