General Information
The Rolled Cyrtochilum is a sympodial cold to warm growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Ecuador and Peru. The name refers to the curled sepals and petals.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Grows to 50cm. Each new growth has numerous lance shaped leaves that grow to 0-5cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 4-9cm

Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 8mm to 122mm per day, heaviest in August and lightest in January. Humidity ranges from 55% to 78%, highest in August and lowest in February. Temperature ranges from 8C to 28C, highest in February (16C to 28C) and lowest in January (8C to 26C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
