Arenas Lepanthes is a cold to cool growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae. It is named after the Miguel Ángel Soto Arenas, a Mexican orchidologist who did great contributions to the knowledge of the family in the Neotropics late in the 1900's early 2000's.
