Lockhartia tuberculata is a sympodial orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Peru.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Each new growth has numerous erect leaves that grow to 2cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 25cm. The plant forms clusters over time
Climate
Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 3mm to 114mm per day, heaviest in July and lightest in January. Humidity ranges from 53% to 69%, highest in September and lowest in January. Temperature ranges from 11C to 30C, highest in May (15C to 30C) and lowest in January (11C to 26C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
