Notylia glaziovii is a sympodial warm growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Brazil.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Grows to 18cm. Each new growth has a single oblong shaped leaf that grows to 2-15cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 0.5-4cm. The plant forms clusters over time
Climate
Grows at low elevations. Rainfall ranges from 8mm to 254mm per day, heaviest in July and lightest in January. Humidity ranges from 59% to 80%, highest in August and lowest in March. Temperature ranges from 16C to 34C, highest in March (23C to 34C) and lowest in January (16C to 31C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
Potting
Repotting is best done annually.
