The Reversed Notylia is a sympodial orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Brazil. The name refers to the non-resupinate flowers.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Grows to 6.5cm. Each new growth has a single leathery oblong shaped leaf that grows to 1.5-5.5cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 0.5-1.5cm. The plant forms clusters over time
Climate
Grows at low to high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 19mm to 281mm per day, heaviest in July and lightest in January. Temperature ranges from 12C to 27C, highest in August (18C to 27C) and lowest in January (12C to 21C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
