Plant Description

Sympodial. Grows to 40cm. Each new growth has a single lance shaped oblong shaped leaf that grows to 2.5-40cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 3-9cm

Grows at low to high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 1mm to 632mm per day, heaviest in May and lightest in January. Humidity ranges from 76% to 81%, highest in July and lowest in February. Temperature ranges from 8C to 22C, highest in February (9C to 22C) and lowest in January (8C to 20C).

Watering

These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
