Plant Description

Sympodial. Grows to 10-23cm. Each new growth has numerous lance shaped oblong shaped leaves that grow to 1.1-19cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 1.8-6cm

Climate

Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 3mm to 114mm per day, heaviest in July and lightest in January. Humidity ranges from 53% to 69%, highest in September and lowest in January. Temperature ranges from 7C to 26C, highest in May (11C to 26C) and lowest in January (7C to 22C).

Watering

These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.

Fertiliser
