The Oviedomata Oncidium is a sympodial warm to hot growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Mexico.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Each new growth has numerous leathery arching, elliptic leaves that grow to 1-45cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 3-16cm

Climate
Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 5mm to 110mm per day, heaviest in July and lightest in January. Temperature ranges from 6C to 30C, highest in May (14C to 30C) and lowest in January (6C to 23C).
Watering
Be sure to provide strong air circulation after watering to prevent fungal and bacterial infections from water sitting on leaves.
Potting
Use water retentive media such as moss to prevent roots from drying out quickly This plant does very well in baskets or suspended pots This plant does well mounted to Tree trunks or Fern slabs. Repotting is best done annually.
