Oncidium spegazzinianum is a cool to warm growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Argentina.
Plant Description
Grows to 9cm. Each new growth has a single leathery arching, rigid, lance shaped, oblong shaped leaf that grows to 1.3-7cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 0.8-2cm
Climate
Grows at low elevations. Rainfall ranges from 89mm to 175mm per day, heaviest in October and lightest in February. Humidity ranges from 69% to 82%, highest in November and lowest in May. Temperature ranges from 8C to 31C, highest in July (17C to 31C) and lowest in January (8C to 19C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
