The Hairy Rodriguezia is a sympodial intermediate to warm growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Brazil.
Plant Description
Sympodial. Grows to 0.5-16cm. Each new growth has a single leathery erect, lance shaped, oblong shaped leaf that grows to 1-13cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 0.7-3.5cm

Climate
Grows at low elevations. Rainfall ranges from 28mm to 201mm per day, heaviest in June and lightest in February. Humidity ranges from 80% to 84%, highest in September and lowest in January. Temperature ranges from 12C to 28C, highest in July (19C to 28C) and lowest in January (12C to 23C).
Watering
These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
