Schimper's Satyrium is a cold to cool growing orchid belonging to the sub family Orchidoideae native to Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Angola, and Zimbabwe. It is named after the German Naturalist and Plant collector in East Africa in the 19th century.
