Plant Description

Sympodial. Grows to 16cm. Each new growth has a single elliptic lance shaped leaf that grows to 0.6-12cm long. Pseudobulbs grow to 0.8-4cm

Climate

Grows at high elevations. Rainfall ranges from 56mm to 221mm per day, heaviest in October and lightest in August. Humidity ranges from 71% to 82%, highest in November and lowest in September. Temperature ranges from 12C to 22C, highest in July (13C to 22C) and lowest in March (12C to 19C).

Watering

These orchids prefer a constant supply of moisture, with a slight drying out between waterings. Saucers can be placed under pots to retain moisture during hot weather, however the saucers should be removed or let to dry every 1-2 weeks to prevent rot. Keep an eye on the plant especially in hot weather and look for cues of under/overwatering and adjust accordingly.
