Eneida's Trichopilia is a cool to warm growing orchid belonging to the sub family Epidendroideae native to Panama. It is named after the Eneida Hurtado - Panamanian first collector of species.

Grows at low elevations. Rainfall ranges from 71mm to 180mm per day, heaviest in August and lightest in March. Humidity ranges from 82% to 94%, highest in May and lowest in April. Temperature ranges from 17C to 26C, highest in June (19C to 26C) and lowest in January (17C to 24C).

Watering

These orchids prefer a wet-dry cycle between waterings, they should be watered frequently but only when the moisture is approaching dryness, where the pot feels light and/or the media looks dry. Keep an eye on mounted orchids in warm weather as they may dehydrate quickly.
